After you cancel the installation of 2007 Office Suite Service Pack 1, some parts of the service pack remain on the computer
SYMPTOMS
After you cancel the installation of 2007 Microsoft Office
Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1), some parts of the service pack are installed, and
they remain on the computer. You may see an SP1 version number for some programs in the following locations:
- In the versions of installed Office files
- In the version information in the About dialog box

How to determine which version of a 2007 Office product is installed
CAUSE
This issue occurs when you cancel the installation after
some components have been installed. The service pack installs as a series of
updates to the Office components. Canceling installation does not roll back
service pack updates to any Office components that have already been
installed.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, complete the installation of 2007
Office Suite SP1. Or, you can uninstall and then reinstall the 2007 Office
system.
MORE INFORMATION
2007 Office Suite SP1 includes multiple updates (.msp
files) that are applied to the cached .msi files for the installed 2007 Office
system programs. As soon as the first .msp file has been applied, and the
next .msp file is being applied, any cancellation will roll back only the
current .msp file. For more information, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
