SYMPTOMS

A workbook window that you have hidden by using the WindowShade feature in the Macintosh System software may be unexpectedly restored to normal size.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when you display or hide the status bar.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
