OFF98: Menus do not Match Settings in Appearance Control Panel

SYMPTOMS
The menus in the Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition do not match the
settings in the Appearance Control Panel. When you use a menu, it is white
and two-dimensional in appearance.
CAUSE
This problem will occur if you have Balloon Help enabled.
WORKAROUND
To work around the problem, click Hide Balloons on the Help menu.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the programs listed at the
beginning of this article.
