SYMPTOMS
When you click a menu in a Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition program,
the menu may not be displayed.
CAUSE
This problem will occur if you click a menu immediately upon starting an
Office 98 program.
RESOLUTION

How to Install and Run the Combined Updater for Office 98
To temporarily work around this problem, wait a few seconds, and then click
the menu again.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh
Edition. This problem has been corrected in the Combined Updater for Office 98.
