OFF2000: MSDN DVD Not Recognized When You Apply the Office 2000 ODBC Vulnerability Update

When you double-click Jetcopkg.exe to install the Microsoft Office 2000 ODBC Vulnerability Update, you are prompted to insert your Microsoft Office 2000 Premium CD. When you insert the disc, you receive the following error message:

This problem occurs if you have installed Microsoft Office 2000 Premium from the Us\O2kprem\Cd1 folder on the Office 2000 Developer Preview DVD that is included in the August 1999 Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) distribution.

To work around this problem, follow these steps:

1. Click Cancel when you are prompted to insert Microsoft Office 2000 Disc 2.
2. Click Yes when asked if you are sure that you want to cancel.

The installation of the Office 2000 ODBC Vulnerability Update has been completed successfully.

NOTE: If you repair your Office installation by clicking Detect and Repair on the Help menu in an Office program or you click Repair Office in maintenance mode for Microsoft Office 2000, the Office 2000 ODBC Vulnerability Update may replace files with earlier versions of the files. Microsoft recommends that you reapply the Office 2000 ODBC Vulnerability Update after you repair your Office installation.
