Memory Errors After You Upgrade a Windows Operating System in Virtual PC 5.0
SYMPTOMS
After you install your own copy of the Microsoft Windows operating system in Virtual PC 5.0, you receive several memory warnings. Virtual PC may also stop responding and quit abruptly.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when your Macintosh computer meets the minimum memory requirement to run Virtual PC 5.0 but does not the minimum memory requirement for the Windows operating system that you installed in your virtual machine. The minimum memory requirement for Virtual PC 5.0 is 96 megabytes (MB) of RAM, and that is not sufficient to run Microsoft Windows 98 or later under Virtual PC 5.0.
MORE INFORMATION
The following list shows the minimum memory requirements for each Microsoft Windows operating system so that it can be installed in your virtual machine.
