When you close an Excel workbook that you opened from a Groove Files tool, you are prompted to save changes even though you did not make any changes

SYMPTOMS

You open a Microsoft Office Excel 2003 or Microsoft Excel 2002 workbook from a Files tool in Groove Virtual Office or in Groove Workspace. When you close the workbook, you receive the following message:
Groove has detected changes in file name. Do you want to save the changes back to Groove?
You receive this message even if you did not modify the contents of the workbook.

CAUSE

Excel 2003 and Excel 2002 sometimes modify the information in a workbook file when the file is opened. When this behavior occurs, you are prompted to save the changes in the Groove workspace even if you did not make any visible modifications to the workbook.

MORE INFORMATION

If you want to distribute these unseen changes, click Yes when you receive the message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
