You experience high processor usage when you use Groove file sharing workspaces

SYMPTOMS

When you use file sharing workspaces in Groove Virtual Office, you experience high processor usage.

WORKAROUND

If you experience high processor usage issues with Groove after all members of your Groove file sharing workspaces upgrade to Groove Virtual Office 3.1, review the "Recommendations for optimal performance" section in the "File sharing workspace restrictions and warnings" Help topic.

MORE INFORMATION

Groove file sharing workspaces let you synchronize Microsoft Windows folders across computers. Some of the performance problems that are reported with Groove file sharing workspaces in Groove Virtual Office 3.0 were caused by bugs. However other problems were caused by pushing Groove beyond what we would consider its design center. Groove Virtual Office 3.0f and Groove Virtual Office 3.1 included several Groove file sharing software updates. Groove Virtual Office 3.1 also included incremental performance improvements that may help even in situations that push the design center. Frequently with Groove, all users in a workspace may have to upgrade for everyone to benefit from a particular change.
