The Automatic Password Reset option is disabled on the Security Policies page in Groove Management Server

SYMPTOMS

In certain Groove domain configurations, the Automatic Password Reset option is disabled. This option is on the Security Policies page for the Identity template.

RESOLUTION

The Automatic Password Reset option is disabled until you configure the Groove domain to remember the private key password. To enable the Automatic Password Reset option, follow these steps, as appropriate for the version of Groove that you are running.

Groove Enterprise Management Server 3.x or Groove Hosted Management Services

  1. On the Groove domain administration Web site, click your domain name, and then click Domain Properties at the top of the page.
  2. On the Properties page, click Change Private Key Password.
  3. Click to select the Remember Private Key Password check box, and then click OK.
  4. In the Domain Properties dialog box, click OK.
  5. In the left pane, click Identity Policy Templates, and then click either Default or the custom policy template that you want.
  6. At the bottom of the new pane, click Security Policies.
  7. Click Automatic Password Reset, and then click Save Changes.

Microsoft Office Groove Server Manager or Groove Enterprise Services

  1. On the Groove domain administration Web site, click your domain name, and then click Domain Properties at the top of the page.
  2. On the Properties page, click Save Password on Server, and then click OK.
  3. In the left pane, click Identity Policy Templates, and then click either Default or the custom policy template that you want.
  4. Click Security Policies.
  5. Click Automatic Password Reset, and then click Save Changes.
