Sections in the Dashboard tool may be overwritten by another manager in Groove

SYMPTOMS

Some sections in the Dashboard tool in Groove Workspace or in Groove Virtual Office may be overwritten by another manager.

For example, you might make changes in one or more of the following sections in the Dashboard tool:
  • Objective
  • Risks and Issues
  • Project Leader's Log Book
  • Bulletins
If you make these changes at the same time as another manager makes changes, the text from your changes is overwritten when the other manager saves the changes, or vice versa.

Note The Dashboard tool is available only in workspaces that are created by using the Advanced Project toolset in Groove Workspace 2.x or the Task & Meeting Management workspace in Groove Virtual Office 3.x.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the sections in the Dashboard tool were designed to be owned by a single manager.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, make sure that only one manager makes changes in these sections. Alternatively, if your project has multiple managers, the managers should coordinate who makes changes in these sections.
