Error message when you try to install Groove Virtual Office 3.x on a Windows Server 2003-based computer: "The following files did not self-register or unregister"

SYMPTOMS

If you try to install Groove Virtual Office 3.x on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
The following files did not self-register or unregister:
grooveutil.dll
groovehooks.dll
specified module can not be found...

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Windows Server 2003 does not include the Atl71.dll file that the Groove installation requires.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, visit the following Web site to download the Atl71.dll file:

Install the Atl71.dll file in the following folder:
%windir%\Windows\System32
Note After you install the Atl71.dll file, you must restart the computer. Then, reinstall Groove.

MORE INFORMATION

Windows Server 2003 is not a supported operating system for Groove Virtual Office 3.x and for earlier versions of Groove. The workaround that is described in the "Workaround" section is provided for the convenience of those customers who use Windows Server 2003 and who cannot currently upgrade to Microsoft Office Groove 2007. The workaround is not part of the Groove release tests.
