Duplicate names appear in the task resources of a TeamDirection Project tool in Groove

Duplicate names appear in the task resources of the TeamDirection Project tool in Groove Virtual Office.

This issue may occur when someone creates a custom non-Groove resource that is duplicated by a Groove resource.

For example, you create a custom resource named Satomi Hayakawa. You then invite a Groove contact named Satomi Hayakawa to the space. The workspace now contains two Satomi Hayakawas. One is a Groove contact, and the other is a custom resource. In this case, TeamDirection Project does not equate these names.

Similarly, when you import a Microsoft Project file, TeamDirection Project creates the necessary custom resource names for task assignments. If Groove contacts that have the same names are invited to the workspace later, the Groove names duplicate the custom names.

To remove these duplicates, you must delete the custom resource. The Groove resource cannot be deleted because it is automatically created from the Groove list of workspace members.

When you delete the custom resource, you must reassign any tasks that are assigned to the deleted custom name to the appropriate Groove contact.
