The Device_generateregfile.asp file is created when you try to download the Groove Enterprise Management Server domain device management registry key
SYMPTOMS
When you try to download the Groove domain device management registry key to Microsoft Office Groove Server 2007 Manager or to the Groove Enterprise Management Server , a Device_generateregfile.asp file is created.
CAUSE
If you enable HTTP compression for application files in the World Wide Web service, the device management registry key downloads correctly. However, the file is named the Device_generateregfile.asp file instead of being named the appropriate domain name.reg file.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods:
- Rename the downloaded file.
- Disable HTTP compression for application files in the master properties of the World Wide Web service.
