You must not run a pre-release build of Groove server software in a production environment

This article discusses the fact that you must not run a pre-release build of the following products in a production environment:

• Groove Enterprise Management Server
• Groove Enterprise Relay Server
• Groove Enterprise Integration Server
• Microsoft Office Groove Server 2007
• Microsoft Office Groove Data Bridge Server2007
• Microsoft Office Groove Manager Server 2007
• Microsoft Office Groove Relay Server 2007

Pre-release builds are provided for testing only. An upgrade of server software must follow the release version of that server software, For example, you upgrade Enterprise Management Server 2.0 to Enterprise Management Server 2.1, and upgrade Enterprise Relay Server 2.1 to Enterprise Relay Server 2.5. If you install a pre-release build on a production server, you may be unable to upgrade the server to the release version.
