Error message when you try to upgrade Groove Enterprise Management Server 2.5 to Groove Enterprise Management Server 3.x: "column does not allow nulls"
SYMPTOMS
When you try to upgrade Groove Enterprise Management Server 2.5 to Groove Enterprise Management Server 3.x, and you use an anonymous logon for the Directory Server, you receive the following error message:Note The database-name placeholder is the name of the database.
Migrating directory server data ....[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server] Cannot insert the value NULL into the column 'LoginName', table 'database-name.GmsDirectoryServers'; column does not allow nulls.
INSERT fails.
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated.
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The statement has been terminated.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the data migration from Enterprise Management Server 2.5 to Enterprise Management Server 3.x requires a valid Directory Server administrator logon name and password. If either the Directory Server administrator logon name or password is null, the data migration fails.
