A controlled GPO may not appear on the Uncontrolled tab after you delete it in GPOVault
SYMPTOMS
In DesktopStandard GPOVault, a controlled Group Policy object (GPO) may not appear on the Uncontrolled tab after you delete it.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if you select the Delete archive and deployed versions option when you delete the GPO. When you select this option, the GPO moves to the GPOVault recycle bin.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, restore the deleted GPO from the recycle bin, and then delete the GPO as an uncontrolled GPO. To do this, follow these steps:
- In the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC), click Forest, click Domains, click MyDomain, and then click Change Control.
- On the Recycle Bin tab, right-click the deleted GPO, and then click Restore.
- On the Controlled tab, right-click the restored GPO, and then click Delete.
- In the Delete dialog box, click to select Delete archive only (uncontrol), and then click OK.
