INTRODUCTION
Issues that the hotfix package fixes
This hotfix package fixes the following issues:Duet Client Computer
- If more than one contact is open with the Duet task pane in Microsoft Office Outlook, a user cannot switch between the contacts when the user presses ALT+TAB.
- Because of the performance cost of validating the Duet Markup Language (DuetML) schema, the DuetML schema will no longer be validated at runtime. The DuetML schema is used for populating the Duet panes that are visible in Outlook.
- After minimizing an Outlook item that has an associated Duet task pane that is visible, the Duet task pane may not reappear automatically when the Outlook item is restored.
- When a Control Message is received that instructs the Duet client to create a new e-mail message in Outlook, the MessageClass of the resulting e-mail message is "IPM.Note.OBA.ControlMessage" instead of the standard "IPM.Note."
- A user installs Duet for Microsoft Office and SAP on a computer that is running Windows Tablet Edition. When the user logs off and then logs on to the computer, the Duet task icon does not start automatically in the notification area.
- The Control Message Processor fails when it runs against the mailbox of a user whose name has an apostrophe or a single quotation mark.
-
Under special circumstances, when a user is disconnected from the network, Duet does not synchronize the bound items even after the user comes back online.
Duet Request Handler Server
- The Request Handler may return a generic "unexpected error" error message when the Domain Controller that is running the Active Directory directory service is not available. Additionally, this can result in the loss of the e-mail message that was being sent through the Request Handler.
- E-mail messages are not delivered by the DuetAgent Request Handler to the Duet client. Instead, an error message that contains event ID 3018 from the MSExchangeTransport service is logged in the Microsoft Exchange Server event log. The error message includes a non-delivery report (NDR) that contains a 5.4.0 status code. If you review the error message, you notice that the e-mail address is truncated.
Note This issue was fixed in an earlier hotfix package and is included in this hotfix package.

Duet Metadata Server
- Even though the "Connect Time-out" value in "Microsoft.Duet.Tools.DeployMetadata.exe.config" has been set to a large value, publishing large amounts of metadata may fail. Additionally, you receive the following error message:UpdateMetadata request to server: The server reported an error while trying to publish the metadata. Contact the metadata service administrator. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."
