SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. On a computer that is running Windows Vista, you download and then install a hotfix for the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 or for the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Then, you install the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2. In this scenario, you may experience unexpected behavior in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) applications or in Microsoft ASP.NET applications.
Consider the following examples:

- After you install Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2, ASP.NET controls do not appear in the Visual Studio IDE toolbox.
- Some WPF applications that are created in Microsoft Expression Blend do not work correctly.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the installation of the .NET Framework 3.5 Beta 2 does not update all the components that are included in the following KB articles:

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Programs and Features, and then click View installed updates.
- Remove any software update whose name ends with any of the following text:

- KB925369
- KB925492
- KB927888
- KB928208
- KB928870
- KB929916
- KB931338
- KB932394
- KB932471
- KB932816
- KB934529
- KB934839
- KB935315
- KB936707
- KB939783
- Restart the computer.
