Information about the Virtual Earth 3D (Beta) update

This article describes an update to Virtual Earth 3D (Beta) that is available on Microsoft Update. This update will be offered to customers who have version 2.5 of Virtual Earth 3D installed. The program will be updated to version 3.0.

This update will be automatically installed if your computer is configured to automatically install updates. If you have selected the option to decide whether you want to download or install updates, you will be notified of the update when it becomes available.

In this newest version of Virtual Earth 3D (Beta), you can do the following things:

• Explore 3-D buildings in more than 300 cities.
• Explore cities easily at street-level.
• See more realistic imagery, including real-time weather.

This update is required if you want to use the 3-D maps on the Windows Live Search Maps site.
