Games for Windows - LIVE: Error messages display in English on a computer that is set to use a different language

When you receive an error message in a Games for Windows - LIVE game, the error message is displayed in English, even though the computer uses a language other than English.

This behavior occurs when the computer does not have the correct Microsoft .NET Framework language pack installed. By default, the detail text in error messages is displayed in English unless a different .NET Framework language pack is installed. Language packs contain translated text, such as error messages, for languages other than English.

Download and install the appropriate .NET 3.0 Framework language pack. To do this, follow these steps.

1. Exit all open programs.
2. If you have not installed the .NET Framework 3.0 redistributable package on your computer, visit the following Web site to download and install the package:

   Note Language packs for multiple languages can be installed on a single computer.
5. Restart your computer.
