SP 50175: "Internet Explorer has been removed from this computer" message is displayed when you login to your account

Symptom: When you login in to your account, an error message is displayed indicating that Internet Explorer has been removed from your computer. Actually, Internet Explorer may already be installed on your computer; however, a system setting indicating that Internet Explorer has been installed may have been set to the wrong value.
Error Message: “Internet Explorer 6 has been removed from this computer. Do you want to cleanup your personalized settings for this program?”
Resolution: This change will examine the system registry and modify the Installed Components settings to activate the use of Internet Explorer.
