SP 53836: PDF files cannot be opened in Internet Explorer

Symptom: When you click on a .pdf link in a web page, the PDF document does not open and you see an image placeholder icon or a red “X” in the browser window.
Resolution: This change will examine the system registry and modify the settings to enable Internet Explorer to open PDF documents.
