SP 51882: Enable Windows File Protection (WFP)

Symptom: Non-operating system installation programs are permitted to overwrite system files.
Resolution: Modify the system registry settings to enable the Windows File Protection (WFP) feature.
Additional Information: When system level files such as .dll or .exe files are overwritten, unpredictable system performance such as application errors or system crashes may occur. Enabling WFP will prevent system files from being overwritten.
