SP 52049: Set the TCP/IP default value for the “TcpMaxDataRetransmissions” parameter

Symptom: The current setting for the “TcpMaxDataRetransmissions” parameter is set to a level that may be considered a security risk.
Resolution: Modify the system registry settings to set the “TcpMaxDataRetransmissions” parameter to the default value.
Additional Information: This setting controls the number of times that TCP retransmits an individual data segment (non-connect segment) before the connection is aborted.
