SP 52393: Disable the “Offline Files Service” to improve system performance
Symptom: Windows Vista ships with many types of services that are loaded at startup time. Some of the started services may never be used by most users. The “Offline Files Service” is one of them. Disabling this service can significantly increase your computer’s performance and reliability.
Resolution: This change will examine the system registry and modify the settings to disable the “Offline Files Service”.
