SP 52453: Disable the “Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service” for performance and security
Symptom: The “Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service” coordinates transactions that span multiple resource managers, such as databases, message queues, and file systems. This service is rarely used by most common users. Disabling this service can significantly increase your computer’s performance and also prevent any Remote Service Attack.
Resolution: This change will examine the system registry and modify the settings to disable the “Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service”.
