SP 51873: Disable the Messenger service

Details: This change disables the Messenger service, which is not enabled by default as of Service Pack 2. The Messenger service provides network-based system notifications and is not related to the instant messaging functions of MSN Messenger.

2. Disable the “Distributed Transaction Coordinator Service” for performance and security
3. Disable the “HID Input Service” to improve system performance

5. Disable the “Net Logon” service to improve system performance
