SP 52798: Compressed folders are no longer associated with .zip files

Symptom: When you right-click on a file in Windows Explorer and select the “Send To => Compressed (zipped) Folder” menu item, the Compressed (zipped) Folder dialog queries you with "Do you want to designate Compressed (zipped) Folders as the application for handling ZIP files?". When you click on the “Yes” button, the application is not re-associated. Files may be compressed with some other application such as WinZip or WinRar.
Resolution: Modify the system registry settings to restore default associations for ZIP files.
