SP 52887: Cannot enable or disable Active Desktop or change the Active Desktop configuration

Symptom: When you navigate to “Start => Control Panel => Display”, select the “Desktop” tab, and click on the “Customize Desktop” button. When the “Desktop Items” dialog is displayed, you will notice that the “Web” tab is missing.
Resolution: Modify the system registry settings to enable changes to the Active Desktop.
